In last week’s article we discussed how God is releasing angels of revelation, angels of access, to help us penetrate the world with the greatest move of the knowledge of God’s glory prepared for our day. We also discussed the ways of heaven regarding the release of revelation, and how God is in the process of raising up new reformers to help bring the world higher into the ways and thoughts of God, being given new books from heaven, reserved for our day!. This week we’ll talk about a vision I had where I was granted access to look into heaven’s book on financial glory. We’ll also continue to unfold the subject of inheritance and how it pertains to financial glory and our influence in the earth.
A LOOK INTO HEAVEN’S BOOK ON FINANCIAL GLORY
Recently I was in a foreign country traveling around ministering in different places. One day as I was being driven to another part of this nation I laid my head back against the seat and began to go into a series of visions. My visions are usually pretty short, and I don’t always retain all of it with my natural mind when I come out of them. But when the vision is given the word is engrafted in me and I can pull out the rest that I didn’t retain through pictures, with the Spirit of Understanding, which instructs the heart of man in truth. This article all came out of this one little vision, this one little encounter that I had in the car that day.
Very simply, I saw into a book while in this vision. I’d been eating from this heavenly book for many months. It’s heaven’s book on financial glory. It’s how I’ve been able to write and expound on this subject so much. Heaven’s diet is manna! Jesus is that manna. He is that word!
As I looked into the book all I was permitted to see was one simple definition from one line in the book. God chooses our doses, not us! I sometimes think we would explode if he gave it to us all at the same time! But as I looked I saw these words written right there on the page:
“to astoundingly impoverish another by receiving a gift”
God had already been speaking to me about inheritance in a series of revelations that I had over the course of these few days, and this was a continuation of that flow!
“I loved Jacob, and I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.”
I believe that there is a lot of revelation at work here in this story and typology found in Jacob and Esau. But I’ll stay on point with what I believe God is speaking to me through this definition I saw in one of heaven’s books. I believe Jacob to represent, at least in part, those that are of Christ and his kingdom, seeking first his kingdom and his righteousness, having all things added to them (Matt.6:33). The “all things” being added is the tangible inheritance, the wealth of the kingdom, even the blessing, which follows those who walk with the Lord and understand his ways. I believe Esau to represent those who are seeking the world, those who are seeking things that are not inspired by the kingdom. I believe Esau to represent those who are not following Christ and have thereby forfeited their inheritance for the bowl of soup (Gen.25:29-34), which represents the pleasures of the flesh outside of Christ.
Malachi prophesied that Esau’s mountains and heritage were laid to waste for the dragons. Mountains are symbolic of government and authority structures which are built. The heritage includes all that is in your possession. Dragons are satanic powers in the kingdom of darkness.
Ultimately there are only two kingdoms, that of light and that of darkness. If you don’t submit your life, your possessions, all that you are to him, then it will ultimately become the property of dragons. By rejecting your inheritance in Christ, you forfeit your shares to the enemy. This is one of the meanings in the definition which I saw. It’s a matter of inheritance.
When Esau forfeited his inheritance to Jacob, he didn’t just lose things in the natural, but he also lost the riches of the spiritual. He lost the blessing (Gen.28:1). In the blessing was the right to carry on that lineage and ultimately make way for Christ. Through Christ all of the enemy’s territory, everything he exercises dominion over, is ultimately in the process of being translated into the church’s possession. As the church we are co-heirs with Christ (Rom.8:17).
Ultimately this is where the this definition which I saw really hits home. THE ENEMY IS IN THE PROCESS OF THE MOST ASTOUNDING IMPOVERISHMENT IN THE HISTORY OF CREATION, AND IT’S ALL BECAUSE ANOTHER IS RECEIVING THEIR GIFT! THE CHURCH IS RISING UP AND RECEIVING HER INHERITANCE. HER INHERITANCE IS NOT JUST LAND AND POSSESSIONS, IT’S NOT JUST THE BLESSING, THE SPIRITUAL RICHES, IT’S ALSO THE MOUNTAINS, EVEN THE MOUNTAINS OF DOMINION AND POWER IN THE EARTH WHICH THE DRAGONS HAVE TREAD ON FOR GENERATIONS. IT’S NOW OUR TIME TO TREAD ON THEM AND ASCEND THE HILL OF THE LORD.
JESUS RECEIVED THE BLESSING SO WE COULD ASCEND THE HILL
1 “The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.
2 For He has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the waters.
3 Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place?
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face. Selah
7 Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.
8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.
10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory, Selah”
We’ve all heard songs sung and sermons preached about ascending the hill with clean hands, a pure heart, and lips that don’t lie. But how many times have we heard understanding of this psalm as it pertains to the rich inheritance which Christ has obtained for us.
The psalm begins with recognizing the earth being God’s possession, including all that deal therein. The context is the supernatural inheritance in Christ, which includes the earth and its resources, the land which the dragons have been treading on for generations. But there was one who did ascend the hill of the Lord who did have clean hands, who did truly have a pure heart through and through, who never worshiped an idol, and who never uttered a lie, and that was Jesus. In Jacob was Jesus grabbing hold of the inheritance, and through Jacob came Jesus to ascend the hill of the Lord in absolute purity and acceptance, to receive the inheritance for the church. When he ascended we ascended with him and became seated on high far above every principality, power, might, dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come (Eph.1:20-22). Jesus was in Jacob receiving the blessing, and Jesus came through Jacob to ascend the hill, overcome the enemy, and receive the blessing and the righteousness on our behalf (Ps.24:4). And now we have become his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all (Eph.1:23). We have become the Jacob generation, who by seeking his him, by seeking his face, have access to this inheritance by grace through faith (Ps.24:6). As we take hold of the riches of this inheritance it includes what we call the spiritual and the natural. As we ascend the mountain of the Lord we ascend the mountains of the earth. As we take hold of this inheritance, then the gates are opened in the earth and the King of glory comes in (Ps.24:7). The earth is crying out, “Who is this King of glory”? Their hearts don’t yearn to know the god of religion, the crucifix of the catholics, the felt board Jesus of the evangelicals. No, the earth is longing for the revelation of the King of glory!
Jesus was in Jacob taking the inheritance and receiving the blessing. Jesus was in Jacob dieing on the cross, going to the grave, and then ascending the hill spotless and without wrinkle. Now Jesus is in us, the Jacob generation, producing a supernatural radical transformed company of laid down lovers! Jesus is in us, the Jacob generation, still taking the inheritance and receiving the blessing from the Lord. As we take hold of this inheritance and receive this blessing the gates are lifted up and the King of glory invades the earth! He is strong and mighty, mighty in battle (Ps.24:9). He’s coming in saints! His glory is invading the earth!
The earth will continue to cry out, “Who is this King of glory?”. And heaven will respond with a boom, “The Lord of hosts, He is the king of glory” (Ps.24:10). The Lord of hosts is the Lord of angel armies! As the King of glory moves so does the reaping angels (Matt.13). As the Lord of glory moves, the books are released! It’s our greatest day of harvest, it’s our greatest day of revelation, it’s our greatest day for inheritance, it’s our greatest day of blessing, even in the earth! It’s time to take back the mountains, take back the possession of the Lord which the dragons have tread on for far too long! It’s time for the greatest battle in history over our inheritance! But we must forsake this Esau spirit which has infected us for far too long causing us not to put value on our inheritance and walk in it. We are Jacob, the generation of those who seek God’s face, who receive the inheritance, walk in the blessing, and usher in the King of glory!
Love & Blessings,
"You may be surprised at the maturity and revelatory gifting from such a young prophet as Stephen Powell."
- Steve Shultz
"Stephen Powell may be a relatively new voice within the prophetic movement, but it's clear God is using him in a very powerful way."
