Gabriel & The Stones Of Fire, Pt. 1

By Stephen Powell

I'm in Europe on an extended ministry trip which has taken me to three nations. I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly on this trip, but in all cases, I'm confident that Jesus will get the glory. I'm feeling relieved though because I feel like I've had some breakthrough on this trip personally, in my own faith, in my own walk with God. I feel I've moved heaven a little with my hunger!

I'm up late one night, toward the very end of the trip, connecting with my friends and partners online, telling testimonies of miracles and God's goodness that I've witnessed being poured out in the meetings. Once again that unique signature of fire starts touching me all over my face and my lips as I talk about the power of God. Over the years I've been graced by God to be able to discern the different angels which come to interact with me by the unique signature of fire that each one of them carries. They are each unique beings of light, like us, and they each carry a special frequency with their light from God. At times I just feel the frequency, like a current of electricity charging the room as they draw near. But some of the angels I discern by their fire, and each fire signature is unique. This particular fire which I was experiencing this night was the fire which Gabriel carries.

I quickly wrap up the broadcast and prepare to lie down upon my bed to discern what God's messenger has come to show me. I begin to feel disorientated and somewhat drunk. I recognize this as the glory realm which comes to initiate me into the trance of God. In this trance, I will see, hear, feel, and discern the word of the Lord which comes to me in living pictures called visions. I love walking in the glory. I love interacting with the Lord and his angels!

I lay down and instantly feel my spirit ascending into the heavenly realm. The first thing I sense is the voice of the Father as I'm ascending. I hear very clearly, "Judgment will come near you in this season, and you are to release it as it comes". This is a direct quote from Malachi's third chapter at the end of the Old Testament, when the Lord promised to come near the people for judgment and to be a swift witness against evil (Mal.3:5).

I see a room which is like a huge furnace in heaven, very long and full of hundreds of angels. It has the appearance of a furnace because of the fire that fills it, dancing everywhere. The fire seems to have a life of its own. The flames are white in color having streaks of red and light orange throughout. These flames dance in and around everything and everyone, including the angels that are working in their midst. These beings are what you might call blacksmith angels. They are hammering away for the longest time on beautiful stones. I only see two colors, blue and red, as the appearance of sapphire & ruby. I see Gabriel among these angels. Gabriel is dressed in a robe which I have never seen before. It too has the appearance of brilliant blue sapphire, looking just like a shining stone, yet it seems to be alive with movement, working with Gabriel as He moves. It is truly amazing what I'm seeing. Can an angel be clothed in a garment made of a living stone? The things of the spirit never cease to amaze me.

Gabriel begins to explain the stones. He tells me that these are prophetic giftings which have never been seen on the earth which shall be placed in men & women's hearts very soon. They will fall to the earth during a time of great shaking for the revealing of the sons of God. Each angel will follow its stone that it's been working on for such a long time. The angels will visit the sons & daughters whose hearts have been prepared to carry these stones. I'm told that the fire which these stones carry must match the fire in the hearts of those chosen to carry them. Cold hearts they will not come to. I'm told that these stone's operations are detailed in Job's thirty-fourth chapter.

Next, I see the face of an angel. His face has the appearance of the stone which he holds in his hand, glimmering & shimmering constantly displaying the beauty of the stone by fire. I see this angel push one of the stones into the heart of a young man. The moment he does the man releases a cry. He can't stop crying aloud. This is the cry of the great end-time eagles. He is filled with the voice, the cry of his stone. His face transforms to resemble the stone, just as the angel's does. He now has the stone face of Ezekiel (Ezek.3:9), to speak the truth which the stone fills him with and not waver. I'm thinking of the living stones that the Bible talks about. Suddenly that passage has much more meaning.

"And I will come near you for judgment; I will be a swift witness against sorcerers, against adulterers, against perjurers, against those who exploit wage earners and widows and orphans, and against those who turn away an alien- Because they do not fear Me, says the Lord of hosts."

We are to understand Malachi's prophecy to have multiple fulfillments to different generations of God's people at different times. And yes, there is absolutely a climactic fulfillment for his words at the end of this age, at the coming of our Lord and Christ, when the Lord returns to judge the earth, along with its inhabitants and the earth's wicked systems. At Christ's first coming he was the lamb which willingly offered himself up for the slaughter, to be sheared, pierced, beaten, and murdered. Referring to our Lord's second coming I believe the prophet to write, "Who can endure the day of his coming? And who can stand when He appears?" (Mal.3:2). That is a picture of when the Lord comes in his end time glory, coming near for judgment, to execute justice on behalf of the innocent. In his judgment, he will make war on everything and everyone who threatens his emerging kingdom. All that resists the agenda of love will not survive his coming. This is the promise we have in scripture.

But as the Lord draws near for judgment, there will be those anointed by the spirit and power of Elijah who will rise up filled with the voice of judgment, the heart for judgment, and decrees of judgment. They will judge not after the appearance of their own eyes, but will judge according to what the Father gives them. They will be required of the Lord to judge. Woe unto them if they do not release their judgments, for these precious judgments have been entrusted to them, to prepare the world and the bride for the ultimate judgment which is still at hand.

1 "There shall come forth a rod from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
2 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
3 His delight is in the fear of the Lord, and He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of his ears;
4 But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips He shall slay the wicked.
5 Righteousness shall be the belt of his loins, and faithfulness the belt of his waist."

The stones of fire which the angels were working with are giftings forged from the fires of the seven spirits of God. They are constantly alive with the flame because they embody the seven lamps burning before the throne day and night (Rev.4:5). The ones who carry these stones in their hearts are constantly inflamed by the seven-fold spirit of God, therefore their hearts bear the righteous judgments of God day and night. This is both their burden and glory to carry in the earth. The world will hate them for it, just as the world hated the Lord and his apostles for bearing righteous judgment among the people. All of the heavens will marvel as God manifests through them in union for they are the manifest sons and daughters of God.

Just as Isaiah foresaw, this sevenfold spirit produces righteous judgment because those who bear it judge not by the sight of their own eyes, or by the hearing of their own ears. They wait on the Lord. They wait for the Lord to come near for judgment, and only then do they judge. They judge by divine revelation which they bear in and upon their hearts.

29 "So Aaron shall bear the names of the sons of Israel on the breastplate of judgment over his heart, when he goes into the holy place, as a memorial before the Lord continually.
30 And you shall put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim, and they shall be over Aaron's heart when he goes in before the Lord. So Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel over his heart before the Lord continually."

Aaron was the first High Priest of Israel, and He was a type of Christ (Heb.3:1), a type of manifested sons and daughters of God, and a type and a shadow of apostles and prophets of the Lord who bear the judgments of God in and upon their hearts through the gifts they carry. The stones in Aaron's breastplate are a type of this. Aaron was commanded to bear twelve of them upon his breastplate of judgment, one for each of the twelve tribes of Israel. This represents that this judgment is all-encompassing, applying to all, affecting all. All are subject to this judgment for it is the very judgment of God issuing forth from the Ancient of Days fiery throne! These vessels speak as the oracles of God to all of mankind and God's people. In addition to the twelve stones for the tribes was the Urim and the Thummim. These stones to this day remain a mystery to scholars as to what they were and what their function truly was. I believe that they were a combined form of prophetic gifting which enabled the High Priest to discern the righteous judgment of God. I suspect they had a very simple function, such as yes or no, right or wrong, to answer questions and obtain God's perspective on decisions that had to be made. The Urim and the Thummim have essentially the same designation as the stones which I saw being worked on in heaven by the angels. They will be placed in and upon men and women's hearts for judgment, to answer with vital accuracy and wisdom some of the most trying questions for the last days. They will be handled by the hands of prophets to deal justly and prudently within the affairs of mankind. We need these gifts in the earth saints. Pray that God does not delay, that he releases these gifts to vessels prepared to wield them with integrity.

In part two of this article, we will continue discussing the prophetic implications of this encounter and see from the word of God what the Lord has in store for his body and this earth in the days to come!
